The Complete Aircrewman Training System (CATS) combines a re-configurable airframe mockup, virtual reality tracking, and simulation software in a cost-effective and flexible solution.
The CATS simulator offers realistic door gunnery training in two modes: VR and projected scenario. VR mode enables the gunner to fire a weapon mock-up while viewing engagements through the VR headset. In the projected scenario mode, the gunner will fire a high-fidelity simulated recoil weapon into an immersive 180° spherical screen surrounding the cabin mock-up.
